June 20- 27

This week the students played probability games and practised and presented readers' theatre skits. They have also worked hard researching the 1914-1929 time period for our Williamson Road Centennial celebration. Their work will be on display at our Centennial celebration next fall.  In health class Mr. Semes delivered the growth and development curriculum. This may lead to questions at home, or help open the lines of discussion.

We looked at this list of 37 life changing books, and the students were excited to realize how many they had read. Hopefully this list will inspire some summer reading.

This is another great to-do list, just for fun. It's entitled, "24 things every child should do before the age of 12." :-)

Important dates:
  • Wednesday, June 25th: family swim at pool
  • Thursday, June 26th: reports go home; physical activity play day in the PM
  • Friday, June 27th: last day of school

There will be no more homework between now and the end of the school year.

Best,
Bronwyn Davidson
