June 13-19

This week the students continued to present their social studies projects, which were all very well done! See pictures of the students with their projects below. We also had a guest artist and parent, Ersa, come in to do printmaking with the class for our Junefest canvas. We have continued to study probability in math. You can help extend your child's understanding of probability by talkiing about real life applications, such as weather forecasts. In drama the students presented skits which demonstrated their social studies knowledge through drama.

We also began an exciting final class project of looking through the Williamson Road archives from 1914-1930. Our class will prepare some materials that will be displayed at the Centennial celebration next OctoberImportant dates this week:
  • Saturday, June 14th: Junefest
  • Tuesday, June 17th: recognition assembly and Glen Ames tour in the PM (1-3) for grade 6's
  • Wednesday, June 18th: pool
  • Friday, June 20th: grade 6 graduation 2 PM

There will be no more homework between now and the end of the school year.

Best,
Bronwyn Davidson
