This week in math students learned how to create fractions with a common denominator, as well as compare and order fractions. Students wrote a quiz on fractions, which went home yesterday to be signed and returned. After the break we will learn about decimal numbers and how they relate to fractions.
In language students worked on their final drafts of their spoken word poem, which they also presented. I was so impressed with their theatric presentations!
In art we began a culminating project, which is a mixed media piece that has a main idea about freedom, diversity or stereotypes. Students are using the create process to plan and revise their piece. After the break we will finish the projects.
Homework for this week:
There will be no homework this week. Happy March Break!
